Grants to fund this program are provided through the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD’s) Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. Because the Office of Flood Hazard Risk Reduction Measures has an overall funding goal of 25% low and moderate income (LMI) area benefit for this grant, preference may be given to areas of low and moderate income in accordance with HUD’s National Objectives. Section II.C., Low and Moderate Income (LMI) Preference, describes how these projects will be considered and selected for funding. Information from this application will be used by the Department of Community Affairs to determine the LMI area benefit for this project. Information from application sections Part III.B.10, 11, 14, 15, 16, and 24 will be used to determine the area benefited by the proposed infrastructure project.
